Thomas Fu started his playing journey with Poole Town FC Wessex in 2013 as a fresh faced Under 7. He stayed with the Club until he reached Under 18!

On the 5th July 2025, now 19 and very much taller, Thomas played for the men’s first team in a pre season friendly against a very spirited Bournemouth Poppies side.
Taking his opportunity as a trialist after impressing during first team training, he was an imposing yet calm presence in the midfield during the second half in what ended as a 6-0 victory to Poole.

With his proud family watching on, he was noticed by the Poole Town supporters who were impressed by his performance.
Having spent some time playing for Dorchester u23 and then for HKFC in the Hong Kong Premier League, Thomas returned and effectively came back home to the red and white.

His Father, Mannix Fu (who was a long time and respected football coach for Poole Town FC Wessex) was understandably overjoyed at seeing his son take part.
Whether Thomas will make the grade to be offered a place is yet to be seen. But he has obviously done enough so far to impress Poole Town managers Joe Lea and Pat Suraci to be given the chance to trial.
Another example of what can happen for any young aspiring player if you simply work hard.
Well done Thomas 🐬
